Fiberglass Pipe Repair Tape

KLIDA Fiberglass Repair Tape Structural Material, with high strength and elasticity, is made from flexible fiberglass knit fabric tape saturated with water-activated polyurethane. After being water-activated it can create a rigid structure with high ability of anti-bending and anti-elongation, and chemicals-resistance.

KLIDA Fiberglass repair tape is used in emergency repair and protection of pipelines which carry water, gas and chemicals in civil and military industrial use. It has played an important role in the fields of power supply, chemicals transportation, marine and communication engineering by reducing losses caused by pipeline leaking or damage, and has become the necessary part in emergency repair and pipeline maintenance. KLIDA Fiberglass repair tape is packed in aluminum foil pouch with nitrogen. It can be operated easily without requirement of extra equipment. The only step required is infusing water into the pouch and then wrapping it onto the cables or pipelines. The material will form a tough durable covering that sets in 20-30 minutes.

Specification

How to Use

1. Clean the repair area with abrasive material.

2. Wear protective gloves .

3. Remove the roller of the tape from the vacuum bag and immerse it in water at room temperature for 2-5seconds..

4. Press the tape roller out of excess water.

5. Wrap the belt roller around the breakage/crack location in several layers,maintaining the tension.For more durable repairs,it is recommended to wind the tape also 5-7cm from the place of breakage in both directions.

6. Distribute impregnation evenly over the entire area of the tape hands pressing with effort.

7. Wait 8-10minutes till the tape is dry.

8. The tape reaches its maximum strength in 24hours.

It is allowed to grind and color the tape to give the place of repair esthetic appearance.

Hazard description: In case of direct contact,irritate the skin and eyes.

Precautionary measures

Use of skin protection products is mandatory!

Before use read the instructions for use/marks of the product.

After contact with skin:wash immediately with soap and water.

In case of contact with eyes:rinse immediately under running water for at least 15minutes,consult a doctor.
